So yesterday I had posted that i fell asleep while pumping, left dirty diapers out, etc etc...
last night i had just gotten done feeding both boys and was in the kitchen cleaning bottles and getting my pump stuff ready. Mark comes out with baby in arms and says, "I dont know whats wrong with him, he was crying." I took him, trying to be nicer at 3am. He was still rooting, still hungry...ok, made him another bottle with 20 ccs. Put bottle in mouth and realized I didnt have the kid i thought i had. I gave him the wrong bottle. Now where this doesnt sound all that bad...look at my children...i thought i had Cooper, but i had Cannon...Cooper has a hole in his lip...how do you mistake that? Cooper uses a special bottle. thought that was funny.
On a side note, Cannon has been collapsing his nipples and we cant find any that he likes..well he liked this $30 bottle...ate those 20ccs in less then 2 minutes.
Re: The funny things we do at 3 am
I am sorry that I chuckled along with you but I do feel bad for your sleep deprivation - I know it is so tough!
I used to say that I would give my children over to wolves in the morning b/c I was just so tired after a long night/day that I wouldn't even care who it was as long as it was someone coming to help me!!!
Ouch on the $30 bottle but whatever works! :-)
will try it. thx
Too funny! When we each feed a baby in the middle of the night, sometimes we wake up and talk about who fed who and we can't remember.
We were having nipple collapse issues with the Evenflow bottles and we found that if we loosened the nipple collar, it helped with that. When we went to 8oz bottles, we switched to Dr. Brown's and have not had one collapsed nipple yet. They are pricey but I like them.
