My baby has bad reflux. The nurses told me before he was discharged to elevate one end of the mattress in his bassinet, pack n play, and crib to help with the reflux. I tried to do this by rolling up a towel but it does not seem like he is comfortable. The one end is raised but then there is a sudden drop for the rest of his body. I have a sleep wedge that I have registered for that I have been using but it does not seem inclined enough and his reflux still bothers him with it. Does anybody have any suggestions/ tips that they did to elevate their bassinet and/or pack n play? I thought about putting blocks under one end but there are wheels so I am afraid it will roll off.
Re: If your baby has reflux how do you elevate their bassinet/ pack n play?
we raised it by putting a piece of wood on the floor. I think it was a 2x4?? I've also heard a phone book works but we don't have those anymore.
Oh, just read you have wheels. Can you take them off? Or if it's just on the pnp then put it at the other end.
I use a sleep positioner in the pack and play, or I have him nap in his bouncy seat (boppy craddle).
He sleeps in an Amby Bed, which is like a hammock and naturally elevates him. He sleeps beautifully in it...I highly recommend it! www.ambybaby.com
In his crib, I actually have a box of diapers under one end of his mattress.
His PNP- I actually bit a very large floor pillow under one side. It's not great, but it's something.
Truth be told, a lot of times I end up having him sleep on his boppy..
