My daughter is such a happy girl that smiles and laughs...However, as sooooooooon as I break out the camera or phone to catch it on film she will not smile!!!! UGGGG anyone else's LO do ths?
awww sorry!! maybe she needs to get used to it?? i have been taking loads of pics of DD since she was born for that very fear...i found that getting the camera in the right position and focused and then peeking around it to make faces at her helped me get a good shot...GL!
Yes! I think DS gets completely distracted and curious once he sees the camera go in front of our face and the smile disappears. All of our pictures look so studious and serious, and that's not DS at all

I have kind of a serious baby and rarley smiles on camera. I can get her to laugh and smile but the moment I touch the camera she gives me a blank stare.
I did ask the pedi about my serious LO b/c my sisters baby smiles and laughs all the time. I was told that some babies are just more serious than others. Thankfully Miah was ina talkative happy mood at the DR so the DR knows she can and will do it!

Try using the continuous snapshot setting on your camera...works like a charm. You end up taking tons more pictures, but you can try to yuck it up with her and simultaneously get the smiles. I take monthly photos of my LO (I pretend I'm a professional photographer), and I get some really great photos using the continuous setting.
