Hi ladies,

I'm making the move over to this board, if you'll have me. It's been more than six months since my loss, and we've been having no success. I have PCOS and my cycles have returned to their typical long (60ish days) ways. And I just turned 35 on Christmas Day so the clock has upped its tick-tocking considerably. The RE used those dreaded words at my appointment yesterday: "Advanced Maternal Age"...

We're trying one more unassisted cycle before moving on to medicated cycles. The RE wanted us to start with Femara today (since I saw him on CD2 "Perfect timing!" he said) but neither DH nor I want to feel like we're making a rushed decision about this, especially since the RE's recommendation of medication, Femara, is controversial, so we're going to wait to take the time to do more research about it (and Clomid, although my RE thinks Femara is the better choice for me) before we go that route. It is looking more and more like we'll need some kind of assistance, however. I'm scheduled for a HSG on Monday as a first step anyway. He didn't think bloodwork was necessary, as we already know there's an FSH/LH/Estrogen imbalance based on my cycles and PCOS, he said.

I am now on femara after doing 4 cycles of Clomid. The clomid completely diminished my linning

Welcome! I have taken Clomid and I now take Femera. Femera has virtually no side effects so it has been a nice change compared to Clomid. Good luck with your decision.
