Another RE appt post :-)

Wow there are a lot of these lately. Hopefully, there will be lots of good things in 2011!!

Had my RE appt yesterday, it went well. I will be starting to cycle, in fact I had my CD 3 u/s and b/w today. I will not be doing BCP's (b/c of the clotting issues), but will just start lupron. I am to use OPK's this cycle (but TTA) and call when I get a + and then I will start 5-7 days later (not necessarily on CD 21, b/c I don't have 28 day cycles).

Then after I get AF on lupron, which should be 7-10 days later, I will start stims. They prefer to start on Fridays, so either 2/4 or 2/11, depending on how fast I O and get AF. I will go for checks the following Mon, We, Fri and possibly over that weekend. Then ER and ET either the week on 2/14 or 2/21. That doesn't seem so far away!!!

They will determine if they will do a 5 or 3 dt once they see how the embies are growing. 5dt if things are super great, 3 dt if they are not up to their highest standards. They will do assisting hatching if it's a 3dt, but not for a 5. If it's a 5dt she would transfer 2 embies, if it's a 3dt then she would consider 2 or 3, depending.

Since no BCP's I may only start lovenox with the stims. I had read in a couple of places that the beta 2 glycoprotein 1 antibodies could maybe cause blood clots to form in my lining which could interfere with implantation. So that is why RE wants to start them to help make sure my lining is okay.

The only issue will be the ER, since it is sugery, I can't be on a blood thinner for it, so I have to talk to my hemo to see what the plan would be to deal with that - med wise.

I am overwhelmed with it all, but excited too. I am sure I will go up and down with my nerves between now and then. But, it's good to be moving ahead with a plan!!

So exciting! My doctor has me go off of the lovenox the day before and then restart the meds that night. But your hematologist should have all the answers for you. I will be cycling a week or so ahead of you, kind of crazy! This is such a good thing!!

That's what my RE was thinking, maybe stop the day before and she thought restart the next day. That is why she wants my hemo to tell he what to do so she is sure.

I know I can't believe we are cycling so close!! That is so great!!!
