sudafed ok in first trimester?

it's on my list of ok drugs during pregnancy, but i try to avoid everything in the first trimester. i am so miserbaly sick and congested. think it's ok, or would you skip it? the list (from my ob) does not say only after first trimester -- it just says approved medications during pregnancy. i'm about 10 weeks.

ok, forget it. a quick google search and now i'm terrified to take anything. ugh, i hate google sometimes

I took the regular stuff during the first trimester.  I was getting over a horrid sinus infection and was in the midst of planning sinus surgery when I found out I was pregnant.  The OB OK'd regular Sudafed and/or Benedryl, just not any extended release or extra strength anything.
