Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

First day back to work after m/c

Pushing past a little anxiety, I made it through the day. I only got upset twice, talking to the two people who knew about the pregnancy. On of the teachers I work with had experience with one. And she told me her daughter's experience losing her second child also. I hate that other women have to go through this, but glad to know I am not alone. It helped that it was a pretty easy going day, tomorrow should be also. I am praying each day gets easier. I am lucky to have 23 little 7 yr olds to keep me busy! I don't have much time to stop and think about my m/c with my job which helped me get through the day.

  • I'm glad your day went pretty well... I'm thinking tomorrow will be my first day back and I'm definetely feeling the anxiety tonight Sad

  • I had bad anxiety waking up. I got up a little earlier and calmed myself, relaxed, took a few deep breathes, ate breakfast and watched the news. It really helped. But it also helped that I knew I wasn't walking into a lot of sympathetic conversations. I really would have dreaded it more otherwise.

  • I'm glad your first day went well. You did better than me, I broke down in the shower on my first day back since everyone knew I was pregnant at my job. The only help I can offer to you both is that it does get easier, and it helps when it's busy.
  • So glad for you that the day went well!  And happy for you that you have a bunch of kiddies to take your mind off of This emotional roller coaster even if for just a few hours.  I got your message and will be writing you back in about an hour so check your mail. Hopefully tomorrow will go just as well.
