Gymboree class question

For a 6 month old would you do Music or Play and Learn?  I like that the Play and Learn only goes to 10 months.  The music is 6-16 months but he really likes to hear the music and sounds.  Thanks!

(and I know they are technically not necessary.  but I don't have many SAHM friends and I like to be out in a group sometimes.  He's so happy when we've been to some kind of activity, or even a restaurant where he can people watch lol)

I did a class with my dd when she was about 6 months it was called Music and Sign. It was a baby signing class and they also played music and we would move the babies to dance. She loved it, I would say Music!

DD and I go to a music class (we don't have a Gymboree in the area). I would vote for that as well... her first class went from 6-18 mos and it was very much appropriate for the entire age range.

We had a groupon for 4 gymboree classes... Anna turned six months old during those 4 weeks. So we did 2 play and learn level 1 and 2 play and learn level 2. When we made the transition to level 2, it was hard. The class was a little too physically advanced for her right at six months. And, to make it worse, the time of the level 2 class fell right over nap time - so she was tired and cranky halfway through. So I would say first choose based on what class time works best for your LO's schedule. If the time is the same or either work, then I would probably do music right at 6 months, based on my experience with level 2.

We haven't done music yet (Will turned 6 mos over the holidays so we haven't had a chance to try it yet), but when I was talking with the teacher at our Gymboree, she said the music class was the most popular (even at 6 months) because the kids like it so much!

So if it were me, I would do music. Enjoy!
