Looking at options

I am new to the PHX area and just found out that I am expecting.  I have no idea which hospitals are better than others.  Although, I have heard good things about Arrowhead and Banner hospitals.  Plus, I was given a list of doctors that I could go to that was 10 pages long!  Any recommendations?

where do you live? that makes a big difference since the valley is so large. i love the banner hospitals, but i can honestly say i've never heard anything good about arrowhead hospital at all and i will avoid it at all costs lol. the scottsdale shea and osborn hospitals are also good.

a lot of ladies here go to desert west obgyn, they have 3 locations in the valley (anthem, glendale, and avondale-ish). that's where i go and love them. they deliver at banner thunderbird and banner estrella.

Welcome!  it really does depend on where you live.  This city is so large.  I'm in the central area and Camelback womens health is great!  Im planning on delivering at Scottsdale shea...I've heard so many good things about them.

It really does depend on which part of the valley you live in. You want to choose a doctor and hospital that are near your home.  Once you figure out which hospital is closest to you, then you can narrow down the docs that go there.

  I am a L&D nurse at Banner Good Sam, so of course I would recommend my hospital first!  I also go to Camelback Women's Health (Dr. Schwartz) and will be delivering at BGS.

We will going to Scottsdale Shea. Our friends delivered there and loved it!!! Its such a nice hospital. I worked for Banner for many years and have heard good things about them too. Right now I work for John C. Lincoln but they are closing their birthing center in 2 months.....
