Any of you have success getting pregnant after using Depo Provera?

Hi Ladies, I was wondering if any of you have gotten pregnant after using Depo as birth control?  And if so, how long did it take?  I have been TTC for 4 months (since last shot was due).  Finally just got my first period in 7 years on Monday I will be starting OPK's next week...

I would love to hear your stories....

Hi,

I'm 8w1d pregnant. I spent quite a bit of time on Depo, starting about 8 years ago. My most recent round of Depo was from March through September of 2009 (three injections). I was given Depo due to extreme menstrual pain, which was assumed to be endometriosis because the symptoms were textbook endo. The last shot would have worn off in early December 2009, and it took until April 2010 for my cycle to resume. It was fairly irregular for about six months after that.

My husband and I began TTC in November 2010. We were immediately successful. I was really surprised by that, as I had been told many times that it would likely be difficult for me to conceive, due to my history. I know that succeeding right away like that isn't typical, even for a completely healthy person. So my experience isn't anything to go by, except to show that you can absolutely get pregnant after Depo! Just give yourself time for your body to get back to normal. I only had about two regular cycles before we started TTC.

I took a lot longer to get my period after stopping Depo (it took about a year I think!). That being said, once I got my period I was pregnant just a couple of months later.

I forgot to mention that I did take Lenova BCPs for almost a month and that's what brought on my period.

I was on the depo for about 5 years. It took 2 years for me to get pregnant. I had 3 early m/c, and then I finally got pregnant with DD. After I had DD I went on the mini pill. I stopped taking it in October, and we got our BFP this past Sunday!

I was also on Depo for many many years. I stopped taking it November of last year, feeling like I needed to de-chemicalize my body for once. It took 6 months for me to get a period at all, and they were super wonky when they came back. When we started TTC in October I was very worried that I would have difficulty, but thankfully it took only two cycles for a BFP. I was very surprised.

I was on the depo for 4 yrs and then went to the pill ellase" sp" and was on that for  a lil over 3 mthsand I got off it the day I got married " aug 26th" and found out yestersay I am 5 weeks preg

I was on Depo for 3 years and it took 11 months to get AF back but she came back like clockwork every 27 days just like before Depo.  We actually tried maybe 3 months before getting a BFP since I delayed trying a couple of months due to a wedding and then signing up for AFLAC.

hi i was suppose to get my shot 2 weeks from today,i didn't and we're trying yikes help!!
