My sister and I are hosting a retirment party for my dad at a nice restaurant and wanted to come up with a fun idea of something we can do at the dinner like an activity, game, something. We may do a slide show, but I was hoping to come up with something different. It's a small group of about 14 close family and friends and we have a private room. Things I was throwing around in my mind were everyone brings a picture or plans on sharing a story about dad. I don't know. We could do some kind of trivia game all about dad. I have never been to a retirement party, so I have nothing to pull from.
Also, any cool gift ideas???
Re: NBR: Need ideas for retirement party activity
Check out guestbookstore.com. Basically, each guest fills out a page and you bind them in a book (supplied with the pages). It's really cool (and a fun activity). You could potentially get his coworkers to fill out pages for him, even if they aren't going to be at the party. Or, since you have so few people, you could make your own pages on the cheap!
