I am typically not a couponer, but I get my diapers off of amazon for 30% off (their price) by signing up through amazon.com/mom (or something like that) and automatic monthly delivery. I can get them (Size 5s 156 ct, I think) for around 18 cents a diaper delivered to me directly, and for me, that's better than what I can get it at Target for, even with the best of the coupons I have had. Parents magazine also sometimes has 20% off Amazon coupons for diapers, so when I use that on a box, I get those for 13 cents each! :-)
I buy my wipes at Target, just b/c I haven't checked how much they are online - but I guess I could buy them at Amazon, as well. I buy the bulk box, though - I think it's the 504 ct or something for around $11 (I can usually find at least a $1 off coupon).
I switched to Up and Up (Target brand) formula probably a few months after I started using formula and I could tell that DS didn't have any weird reactions to me swicthing around (I used Enfamil and Similac before). He did just fine on the Target brand, and it was MUCH cheaper - like half!
Good luck - I am sure the couponers can give you some tips, as well - I'm just telling you what I did, since I typically am not searching for the "best of the best" deals - just the most convenient for me!
I coupon for diapers. Kroger lets you stack coupons so if you have a $2 off and a $2.50 off (or something like that) you get $4.50 off. Also, the "jumbo" packages are on sale at 8.99 so if you buy them for more than that, you're paying too much.
Check out www.babycheapskate.com on Sunday mornings and they post the best diaper and formula deals of the week. I think CVS or Walgreens had a good deal this week.
Target will also run the boxes of diapers on sale for $19.99 and give a $5 gift card with 2 boxes. If you do that and have a few coupons for the diaper boxes, that's a good price.
Ditto the comment on the Amazon deal. Sign up for AmazonMom and get 30% off plus free shipping. If you get some mom related magazines (American Baby right now) they have an additional 20% off diapers coupon.
As for formula, I didn't have to buy much of it, but I would try to look for coupons or formula checks. Also, once Similac had their recall we switched to the Target Up & Up and Cooper loved it. It was half the price!
One thing to check out - go to the Bump swap spot board. Post what coupons you do have and won't use to trade for coupons you want. I don't use Pampers so I'll trade those for Huggies.
Your best starting point will be to check out the website I listed above. They break down the prices for you. If I pay $.20 per diaper or less, I'm more than happy. Formula is touger, but there is no reason you should pay full price for diapers, unless you are in a bind. There are too many coupons out there!
Ditto prior post I am a member of Amazon Mom and take advantage of their discount. Parents & Parenting Magazine usually have additional coupons that I add on top of the Amazon discount. Lately I have had to *work* the system because the coupon code has begun with a "Y" and you can only use a code beginning with the same letter on the account once. So I just created a new Amazon acct under a different email address which you can share your Amazon Mom with. My membership now has been extended the full twelve months due to amount of purchases made.
I have done the same for wipes only once since I typically can get them cheaper at Target in bulk.
We have tried other diapers and only Pampers have worked for us so I can't help with other brands and discount/ coupons. I do believe coupons.com offer Huggie coupons regularly.

We have a Costco card and I get a pretty good deal on Huggies; especially when they have a special that month. We will buy several of the ultra-big boxes that have 200+ diapers (depending on the size) and with the coupon is comes out to about 20 cents a diaper.
We also love the Kirklands wipes at Costco. It comes in a 900ct box and comes out to less than 2 cents per wipe I think.
As for formula, Evan needs a special anti-reflux version, and it can get expensive. Enfamil changed their packaging recently, but we have been able to get cans in the old packaging at Target on sale and even discount prices. DH scored the smaller cans (which are usually $15) for $2.00 each. Target has been great for finding things like this.
We also do a lot of internet shopping around. We aren't too good with coupons, but DH is great at searching the web. Good Luck!

I ditto the pp about Amazon for diapers and Target for wipes (we use Pampers diapers and wipes) and Up & Up formula. We initially used Similac, but switched to Up & Up because it was so much cheaper and G didn't have any problems switching.
I just started using Amazon Mom... no clue why I didn't before. lol
I used the BRU version of Similac... It was 12.99/can vs. 23.99 for the same amount... They also will have "10% more" cans that will have $5 off coupons on two of the 12.99 cans... So that would make it even cheaper and easier for me when buying two cans at a time for home/MIL house. I've also used the Walmart Brand... I think the generics are all around the same price, so you can just pick which ever one is easiest for you to get.
I wish DD could tolerate the Up and Up formula. But no. She has reflux, MSPI, and will only eat the RTF version of the Similac Alimentum without puking. Can you say expensive?
So thanks for the tips on how to save with diapers and wipes. Need to save money where we can!!

I haven't priced out diapers (yet!) but I read about diapers.com and they are similar to amazon, with free shipping.
They sent me a code for either 15% or 30% off the first purchase CHMU4125 but I'm not going to use it, if anybody wants to try it.
