Estrogen patches and taking a shower?

Good morning ladies!  My doctor prescribed estrogen patches after ER, to be changed every other day.  For those of you who have used them, do they stay on in the shower? Did you have to take special precautions to keep water away so they wouldn't peel off? Seems like a small question, I know! But just want to get everything right.  Thanks!

  • Those things have something like mega-glue on them. You will have problems getting them off, not getting them to stay on!

This exactly!  I had to scrub and scrub to get all the gluey sticky residue off my stomach when I took the patches off.  Don't worry, they will stay put!

  • For my EPP I have patches that are on for 2 weeks, and they stay on, get linty, and left stubborn linty sticky edges when I finally took them off.

  • Great, thanks ladies! I was afraid they were going to rub off in the shower, from touching my clothes, etc.  Glad to know they will be staying put!

  • Ditto PP.  Use baby oil to help get the leftover sticky mess off, works like a charm!
  • Those little suckers will stick like no other.  You will have to scrub to get the glue off when rotating.  Good luck on your upcoming cycle!
