Sorry ladies, I don't get the appeal of Peeta

Maybe I need to keep reading (love the series so far, btw) but I don't see how he's so attractive. He's pale and pasty. He bakes bread. So does my grandma.

It gets better, especially in Mockingjay. I was Team Gale up until that book.

I'm about a quarterish the way through Mockingjay.  I really love them both still.  I see her conflict.  She shares a bond with Peeta that not many people are going to be able to understand unless they are a surviving tribute.  Plus, who isn't sort of drawn to the boy who 1000% adores you.  And that whole new, electric, mysterious love...

But then...Gale...is really her soulmate. 

Good thing she's just trying to stay alive and not pick a husband because it would be a hard decision!

I was team peeta right away, but Mockingjay really swayed me away from Gale. I don't want to spoil it, but it really did.

I swayed back and forth a bit in the beginning between Peeta and Gale, but the more I read the more "team Peeta" I became.  Then again, I'm totally team Jacob in the Twilight series, so...

 

ETA:  Oh and he doesn't just bake bread, he frosts cakes too!
