Potty Trained at Home but not at School?!

We potty trained my DS (aged 2 years, 2.5 months) last 2 weeks ago at the beginning of winter break.  He had been asking to use the potty each time he needed to go for weeks and we had only 1 or 2 wet pullups a day so we thought he was ready.  First day -- lots of accidents, 2nd day - only 2, 3rd day 1.  Days 4-9... FLAWLESS -- we went to the gym, to restaurants, on a 1.5hr car trip -- he told us every time he needed to go and by day 7, we didn't even need to ask him if he wanted to potty.

Day 10 we brought him to school (he's in the preschool class in daycare, so he's there about 9 hours a day) and DISASTER!  He stayed dry for about 2 hours in the morning and then accident then nap then accident then dry for the rest of the day and when we picked him up, he happily used the potty. 

I get that kids can be trained in one place but not in another, but does anyone have experience with this?   If so... any ideas how to get him equally trained at school?

Make sure teachers are taking him potty frequently.

give him time.  There's not really much that YOU can do.
