I was just curious if anyone has done FSH without an IUI? Is this only done with low sperm count/motility or is there a benefit to doing an IUI even if DH's SA is completely normal? I know if your cervical mucous isn't very good they will do it then, too, correct? I'm hoping my RE will let us do the cycle without the IUI to save some money since we're paying mostly OOP.

Re: Anyone do FSH without IUI?
I just did a cycle of follistim + trigger with TI. I elected not to do the IUI so my insurance would pay for it. It was my first cycle on injects and I had no idea how I would respond, I wanted to see how things went.
That being said, my cycle wasn't successful and I am moving on to IVF.
Good luck.
We're starting with Clomid + Ovidrel trigger and IUI. We have unexplained IF. I can tell you to the day when I ovulate, SA is great, we have had good timing for about a year now, and still nothing. With meds, we have to pay for monitoring anyway, and at this point I just want to do everything possible to up my odds for success.
However, I can totally understand trying TI to avoid the cost of IUI. It's not insignificant, and OOP really starts to add up.
