I have read about the rise being short and was wondering if its worth buying one or not?  My DD is 23 lbs and 29 inches.  I would hate to buy them and not  get much use out of it.

I wouldn't.  I was going to buy one because i love the print but i didn't get it so i'm taking that as a sign. 

DS is 24lbs and probbaly 29ish inches with 13 1/2 inch thighs which take up a lot of rise he's almost got full plumbers crack.

I have  toddler size but it's huge!
