Anyone had an amnio at OHSU???

Hi everyone! I have an amnio scheduled for next friday and I was just wondering if you had one done at OHSU, how was the experience? and also, how long did it take to get the results back and how do they get you the results?  We want to find out the sex of the baby by the amnio (since that is 100% accurate) and I am just curious how they get you that info?

Hi.  I don't have experience with an amnio, but can you clarify your question a bit.  Are you getting an amnio just to confirm the sex or also for other tests?

I will be 39 when i deliver so the test is for all the genetic stuff, finding out the sex is just a plus!

I haven't had an amnio at OHSU but I had ultrasounds and all my other prenatal care there and I delivered there as well. I have received excellent care there all the time. Sorry I can't give you any specifics. Good luck!

I have not had an amnio done at OHSU, but like another poster I am having all my care and my baby there at OHSU.  So far the midwife dept. is great and I have had really good results from getting other tests done there. They are pretty fast, at least in my exp.
