Parents for Paid Leave
If you haven't heard of Parents for Paid Leave, I thought I'd give them a little plug.
They're a local grassroots that is advocating in the legislature for paid family leave for all Oregon families. They want paid leave to be available to all parents after they give birth to or adopt a child, and it will also provide for time off to care for a sick child, parent, spouse or other loved one (or oneself).
If you want to help them out, consider joining their mailing list, since they use the # of people on that list as an indicator of support. They rarely e-mail, so it won't clutter your inbox.
