i've finally found an ob/gyn that i like. she took the time to answer my questions and i could hear her when she spoke. i saw one gyno who pretty much whispered her way through the appt and i kept moving closer to hear her! i didn't have to wait long to be seen, compared to the 3 hrs i've had to wait once for my old gyno. she seemed down to earth and knew her stuff so i'm going to go with her on my ttc/pregnancy journey. plus, she's on both mine and my husband's health insurance in case i quit my current job and need to go on his plan. just one downside, only 3 days a week for appts!

Re: Finally found a Flushing, Queens ob/gyn
Hi...I just moved from LI and I'm having my first appt. Tuesday on LI with my regular gyno. We now live in Ridgewood so I guess I should find one in my area? Is it crazy to keep going to LI? When I finally go into labor, will we drive all the way to LI? I kind of just realized this! HMMM...let me know the good one that you found. How far along are you? where do you live? THANKS!
hi LaurenFaith,
Ridgewood is pretty far to drive to LI when you're going into labor! i suggest looking for one no more than 30 mins away driving. i'm in Elmhurst, Queens so Flushing is about a 30mins or less driving depending on traffic. i've read that it will be awhile before you truly need to go to the hospital when in labor but it's nice to know that you're near the hospital anyway. hope this helps!
