Say something goofy or funny happens and you want to share it. Where do you go first: Bump or Facebook?
I don't see many repeats between here and Facebook (at least not from those with whom I'm FB friends) so it got me thinking: What factors determine whether you post here or on Facebook? Obviously you wouldn't put something on here that's intensely personal because you have less control over who sees it than Facebook but with regard to other things, why here or there?
I don't post on either terribly much but I tend to get more action on Facebook posts because there is a greater pool of people than just Bump friends.

Re: Bump vs. Facebook
That's an interesting question. I'm not sure how I decide. I guess if I have a question that pertains more to children or family matters, I come here to post it. Unless -- it's super duper awesome, or extremely $hitty, and I want the whole world to know -- then I use FB. Ha ha.
I consider most of the people on here my close girlfriends, so if I need some advice, I come here. If I have a random thought and I want to "talk", then I use FB (it seems to move faster and is easier to use on my phone/ipod).
I will have to mull this over some more. You ask such good questions, Katie.

My FB friends are family and mostly people I knew from HS and college. I post random status there but wouldn't ask advice necessarily. Here I feel more comfortable asking questions and getting advice. I feel like this could be a good place to make some friends in the area that don't have preconcieved notions of me or who I will be as a mother.
Plus I don't get asked by MIL about things I post on here and none of my RL friends know about this board which is really nice.
Family vents -here since they dont know this website exists.

Ditto to what lots of the PP's said. Since my FB circle is far more diverse (geographically, demographically, biologically, etc) I tend to keep FB things more broad, general-audience type stuff whereas my Nest things are more local and baby-centric.
