Wool? How often do you wash?

It hasn't been pooped on and we usually only use it at night or with our "bad PUL" diapers.  How often should I wash?  Or do I not need to wash at all until they get pooped on.

I wash if it gets soiled, or if it still smells after airing out a while.

I wash after it's gotten wet a couple of times (I've been putting off upping the absorbency level in our night time diapers) or once it still smells like pee after it's dry. Of course, you'd want to wash if it got pooped on, too but we haven't had that happen to ours yet.
