I watched the little Oakwood video - so cute! I totally want to live in your town. That's exactly the kind of area we want to be in someday.
The city picks up your raked leaves, and then returns mulch to you in the spring? AYKM?
What are your property taxes like in relation to surrounding areas?

I love it too. It's the whole reason why I have a 45+ min commute!
The perks are awesome ... the garbage guys have little garbage carts and they come all the way up your driveway to get your cans - you don't have to bring them to the curb! The sidewalks are also snowblown in the winter... lots of little perks. On top of it all, the community is very active.
The property taxes are higher than the surrounding areas, but not outrageous.
