recommend your ob

Does anyone have an OB they really like that associates with Midlands Hospital or Bergan Mercy?

I've been going to an OB in Lincoln for a long time but I'm just not happy with his office staff and how things played out with the birth of my son.

I've heard good things about Heather Taggart (I believe that's what her name is) Anyone you are really fond of?

Is there a reason that you want to deliver at Bergan or Midlands?  What kind of birth are you hoping for?  Medicated, unmedicated, avoid induction, etc? I have had great experiences with Dr. Evans with Alegent.  Her office is at Lakeside but she has priveledges at Bergan and most likely Midlands.  Definitely figure out what you are hoping for for you birth this time.  Where you deliver and who you deliver with will greatly affect the birth that you have in Omaha!  If you would like to message me for some more detailed info I'd love to help you.  I am a birth doula but I'm not trying to push my business on you!  I just really want to help women in the area have their best birth experience.  It would be nice if you could get that with any OB or at any hospital in the area but that is not the case in Omaha, unfortunately.  You can message me on here or email me at omahadoulamom at hotmail dot com.

I had a couple friends deliver at Bergen, they hatted the nursing staff. Both had NICU babies, and when they would go to the NICU to visit the babies, and a visitor showed up in their room and asked where they were the nurse would say oh they must have checked out. WTH lazy. Their are more stories. I went to a specialist their and he was good but nurses not so much, and they will be spending most of the time with you.

I see Dr. Thomas Besse he is AWESOME!! I believe he office with Dr. Evens as in one of the other post. In the begining of my pregancy I saw Dr. Stern in Bellevue he was great to he's a younger Dr. All the ladies love him!! My friend went to him so she convinced me to go see him so I did but I missed my Dr. Besse so I went back to him at 9 weeks. Dr. Stern delivers at Midlands and Bergan. Dr Besse delivers at Bergan and Lakeside not sure about Midlands. I delivered at Lakeside last pregancy and was undecided this pregancy Lakeside or Bergan. Bergan has the new Maternity Center but Lakeside is new too and the Nursing staff are awesome plus the bathtubs with jets in the rooms are Great!! I spent a lot of time in the bathroom lol...Good luck!!
