Parenting after 35

Hello - New here

Hi everyone,

I am new to the bump. We just found out that I am pregnant (good thing!) but I am a bit worried because I turned 35 in November, and I gave birth to my last child in 2000. We are pretty much starting all over again. I have four boys, ages 15, 13, 10 and 7. The 7 year old is my step-son. Any advice for someone like me? Smile

 Thanks!

Lori

  • Hi Lori,

Advice? not really, but I just wanted to say Hi and welcome. This is, by far, the nicest and most supportive board around.

You and I sound a little similar.  I have four, older, step-children (12,11,9 and 7) and my DD Priya just turned one.  We are expecting again in June.  Depending on what day this little one arrives I will be 35 or 36.

Take care, try and relax, and join in the fun here - we promise very, very little drama!!

  • Welcome! :)

I have 2 boys from a previous marriage who are 15 & 11 so I know about starting over. It's SO much fun though. Just relax and try not to worry. :)

  • Hi Lori -

Welcome to our little bastion of sanity on the bump!

I only have one toddler, so my best advice is to teach your older boys to change diapers. Stick out tongue  GL!
