I get this sharp pain in my lower abdomen which is really strong in my cervix and if this is what that is then I am getting them on occasion, but I wouldn't know that's what it was even if it slapped me in the face!!!

No its like random cramps that aren't so much painful but uncomfortable because i can feel my uterus tighten up. Only lasts for like 3 seconds and comes and goes through out the day. nothing consistent which is good because I don't want consistent yet. Nurse said as long as there are not more than 4 an hour, they don't last long, and i have no discharge changes then its all good.
I had a bad bout of BH's last Friday, and went into the ER, because after many attempts at moving around, relaxation and lots of water to get them to stop... they just got stronger. They were literally with me ALL DAY. So we went in to make sure baby was ok, and wasn't trying to come out!
But usually, if you're getting BH... laying down on your side and relaxing, lots of water, or even a warm shower or bath usually gets them to stop after awhile. If they last longer than 2-3 hours, and start wrapping to your back and such, call your Dr or go in to be seen. (That's what I was told.)
I may have had a couple...I don't really know what they're supposed to feel like, but I've had a few occasions where my lower abdomen will get rock hard for a minute or so. Then it will go away. It's usually only once, and has never happened multiple times in a day. It never hurts, it's just a tightening.
