Manchester OB recommendation?

I have always used my primary care doctor for physicals, but now that I'm pregnant I'll need an OB/GYN. Does anyone have a really great recommendation - someone personable and caring- no gruff or grumpys?

I've been going to Manchester Obstetrical Associates on Tarrytown Road next to the Elliot Hospital for over 10 years.  I find their staff to be super accommodating and very supportive (prior to pregnancy and now).  I?ve never had an issue with getting an appointment to fit around my schedule as they have a large staff of doctors and ARNP.  Right now I?m rotating through the staff (I guess this is a common practice) and haven?t found anyone that I wouldn?t go back to.  Can I ask how far along you are?

Everyone I know goes to Bedford Commons (right on the Manchester/Bedford line). They were very highly recommended to us. I've been rotating through all the doctors, and I've loved all of them. The NPs are amazing also. I've never had a problem scheduling or changing an appointment. They are also a little on the conservative side, in terms of checking things that you are concerned about. If you feel something isn't right, they will look in to it, regardless of how silly it may seem. Since this is my first pregnancy, I feel like I have called and asked some ridiculous questions, and none of the doctors or nurses made me feel stupid. Another thing I love about them is that when you call after hours, you are conncected directly to the on-call MD's cell phone. I really can't say enough good things about them!

I'm 38 weeks and have been going to the Dartmouth Hitchcock midwives at Catholic Medical Center (CMC).  They practice out of Dartmouth Hitchcock in Manchester, but have hospital privledges at the Mom's Place at CMC.  They have been wonderful and the suites at CMC are beautiful.  My husband and I took our childbirth classes there and they all have been extremely supportive and understanding.  They listen to you and really take the time to investigate any problems that may arise.  (I'm currently on modified bed rest until my baby comes, since my blood pressure is slightly elevated.)  My sister-in-law recommended them as she had her second child there.  Best of luck!
