Hey ladies! I live in the Smithfield area and I am looking for a good doctor in the Raleigh area that delivers at either Rex or WakeMed. I've also had the LEEP surgery, so it would be good to have someone who has experience with that. The dr. who did my surgery doesn't deliver anymore. Any suggestions?

Re: Good OBGYN in Raleigh/Clayton?
I live in the Cleveland area, so I'm not too far from you and I go to Mid-Carolina OB/GYN. They only deliver at Rex and are located in the medical complex attached to the Rex Women's Center. Unfortunately, I have no idea what experience the individual doctors have with LEEP (heck, I had to Google it just to figure out what it was!), but I'm sure that you could contact the practice and ask for a consultation before making a decision. I'm not sure what your plans/options are for delivery, but I opted for a natural birth and they were extremely supportive and really allowed me to make decisions for myself even with a slightly abnormal delivery. I definitely feel like they will support whatever decisions you make about your care, as long as they know that you are aware of the risks involved and that neither you nor baby are in any danger. HTH!
ETA: I saw Dr. Watson exclusively until I got PG, Dr. Creighton was on call when I went into labor and Dr. Stephens delivered Cara; they were all amazing! The practice rotates you through all of the OBs (that still do deliveries) throughout your pregnancy so you'll get a chance to meet them all at that time.
I go to Wilkerson OB/Gyn in the Medical Complex next to Rex...

I'm not sure if any of the docs there have experience with LEEP, but like the PP suggested, you could call and ask. I've been with Wilkerson since I was 16 years old - and have never been disappointed in the care I've received.
I second Mid-Carolina. Dr. Creighton delivered my son and she is my go to Dr of choice there. I can't say enough good things about the practice.
If you go to www.midcarolinaobgyn.com you can see pictures of all the Dr.s and read a small bio about each one. Not sure if their bios mention anything about LEEP (I didn't look) but you can always call and find out!
Capitol Area OB/GYN has an office in Raleigh and Cary. I love them! They deliver at Rex.
