slightly unusual boy names

I'm a lurker on the baby names board, and I know they will hate these. MH and my mom have suggested some names that I really like. I think I want something NOT in the top 50, maybe not in the top 100. I definitely want something very masculine. The two "new" names are Cannon and Crew. I typed them into nymbler and got a whole bunch of names that I really didn't like. 

 what do you think of these names? anyone have any other suggestions we might like?

    I dislike both. Sorry. They're night slightly unusual, imo.  They're very unusual.

    There aren't many names anyone WOULD like on the baby name board!  Crew is nms, but Cannon isn't bad.  I don't think I would pick either, but I agree with wanting more unusual names.  I named DS Evan and now there are TONS of them everywhere I go.

    I don't like Crew. Cannon I am not sure what to think about.

    Is there a particular meaning you would like your son's name to have? Looking at different languages/cultures always brings up different names

    I really like Cannon!!! It's unique. Crew is interesting too but I LOVE LOVE Cannon... If you like/love these names, don't let ANYONE take them away from you :)

    My brother has a good friend named Buchanan and he goes by Cannon. He is actually a quarterback for a college team and he's a lot of fun. I have loved the name since I heard it and my mom brought it up over christmas and DH really likes it too.

    I actually like both names. Cannon more than Crew. Crew just makes me think of J. Crew, lol. My DH and I are actually considering the names Carter, Hunter and Logan if we have a boy. Not many people like these either but I absolutely LOVE Carter and Hunter.

    Go with what YOU love and feel is right.

    other than the fact that I don't care for Buchanan, our last name starts with a B. DH really likes Barrett as well, but I really don't like the double B.

    I personally LOVE Crew!! It was one of my favorites but DH is and has always been stuck on Rowan for a boy. Love both but Crew is precious.

    They are both definitely different!! but i think they kinda grow on you!  If you love them i say stick with it, people always have their opinions but in the end it really matters what you like.  If we were to have a boy we were going to name him Geovauni and call him Vaun.  Most ppl didnt like Geovauni, not only bc our spelling was different but bc the name really isnt common.  But we LOVED it and dont care what they say.  I am having a girl now so it doesnt matter, but you get my point! lol

    I really like them both! I think they are creative but I wouldn't call them unusual. I could totally imagine calling someone "Crew".

    My favorite unusual boy name is Rhys  - pronounced Reese. DH vetoed it though....

    Other unusal boys names (I dont know if they ae in the top 50-100 though):

    Harrison

    Anderson

    Reid

    Reagan/Kennedy/Clinton/Carter/Ford (insert other presidential last name here)

     Your two choices are a little nms, although I guess I prefer Cannon over Crew.

    Another thought popped in my head - what about Cruz? I think I like that better than Crew.

    I really like Crew! Our boy name (Jordy) is rather unusual too. I kind of like Tru for a boy or Truly for a girl but we already have something similar on my husband's side. I say Crew adorable :)
