Shower Locations

Dos anyone know of any inexpensive places to have a baby shower? My MIL is in the process of planning our shower and I'm trying to help come up with a list of locations for her that are fairly cheap, I'm talking preferrably $11 or less per person.

We had our bridal shower at Portofinos and it was great! We are just looking for something a little more low key and not as much money. I already checked with Deluca's in Westland and that is an option since they are less than $10 pp, I just want a few other options for her to choose from. Location is pretty flexible, anywhere between Howell and the Downriver area. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Re: Shower Locations

  • I had mine at Papa Vino's and it wasn't too expensive at all.  I think my mom paid $15/person.  I have been to a few showers at Deluca's and it's always been good.  Another place is Amatea's in Westland.  My aunt had her bridal and baby shower there a few years ago and it was really good.

Mmm- Amatea's!!  My grandma use to live in Westland and we'd go there anytime we visited.  They have amazing homemade ravioli!

  • I had my shower here:  https://www.giuliositalian.com/

They rent the whole thing out to your party for a Saturday/ Sunday morning (I dont remember which day - how bad is that?!?).  Anyway you pick the menu so you can control the price per guest.  It was good and the owner/manager was very nice and cooperative to work with.

  • I went to a wedding shower at Fratello's in Trenton. It was a Sunday brunch - they have an amazing brunch buffet and it was in a separate room. If I lived downriver I would have definitely had my baby shower there.

I had my baby shower at Peabody's in Birmingham. It was great and they were very flexible. We just paid for the cost of the food, there weren't any extra service charges, they didn't even include a set gratuity amount.

  • I had my bridal shower at Georges Senates Coney Island on 6 and Haggerty. It turned out really nice, they have an extra little area where they do parties. we had between 50 and 60 ppl. The price they told us depended on what we chose to eat. It was less than $10 a person though, b/c the total food bill was only around $400. Our meals were plated and we could choose from four different Items.
