Vote: Ben or Tom?

Both of them have that classic, all American feel to me. Which do you like better?

I love both the full names, but vastly prefer Ben to Tom, with the nicknames.  It's one of the reasons we're re-thinking Thomas as our boy-name, because we much prefer Thomas to Tom or Tommy.  (DH and I have managed to avoid shortening our names, for the most part...but he still gets people trying to call him "Dave" and even had a work email go astray because someone sent it to dave.lastname instead of david.lastname).

I absolutely LOVE Ben! Very cute for a baby/little boy but certainly masculine enough for when he's older. That's our #1 choice for a boy

I prefer Thomas to Benjamin, but I prefer Ben over Tom.    I actually really love both names, but don't really care for the nicknames.  Same with Timothy... love it, but don't like Tim.

Both are wonderful names, but I voted for Thomas. Benjamin is more popular than Thomas if that matters to you. You can't go wrong either way!

It doesn't surprise me that Benjamin is more popular. It's popular right now in general. There will be lots of young Bens running around, so to me, Thomas/Tom would be the better choice, especially with your last name. Plus he'd be the only one in his class.
