donating toys

Hi everyone. I have started something with DD this year. She is only 2 but hopefully in the years to come she will understand what I am doing and why.  I am going to go through her toys today since X-mas is right around the corner. What I want to do is donate toys she has never really played with or she is not playing with anymore to a charity for kids. I want these toys to go to kids who have nothing.  I don't want to donate them to salvation army or goodwill not that  I have anything against them I really want the toys to go to kids and families who can't even afford to shop at those stores.  Please let me know of any local charities thanks!!

Most places that accept toys specificaly for Christmas only take new toys (normally unwrapped in box).  But most of the shelters (Salvation Army, Joshua House, The Spring) take used donations.
