Does anyone live here or have info they can share about the community, shopping, schools, commute into Tampa / airport during rush hour and non rush hour?
I live about 6 miles south of Meadow Pointe off of Bruce B Downs Blvd. The community is nice, shopping is building in the nearby area! There is a super mall under construction (will be for the next decade with environmental groups raising hell), and there are several smaller shopping centers. Across the street is a Super Target, Marshalls, Petco, and a mile or so down the road is a grocery store, JC Penney, and they are almost done with a Dillards and Macys.
I don't know much about the schools since I went to school in Hillsborough County, but I would imagine they are good. The commute into Tampa is a long one; the on-ramp to I-75 branches off to I-275 which takes you to the airport/downtown area, and you are about 20 miles away distance wise... depending on the time of day, that will take you between a half hour and 2 hours to get there. Rush hour is about 6:30am-8:30am and 4pm-6:30pm. HTH!
Thanks, that is great info. Hopefully I will be able to transfer to another location in Tampa. I just googled it and it is about a 13 mile drive from Meadow Pointe. The estimated time was about 35 min. Coming from Atlanta and DC I am used to the traffic, it is just par for the course when living in or around a city.
