Want to introduce myself...

Hi Ladies!

I've been lurking on this board for a while, but want to introduce myself. I recently had an unplanned, emergency C section under general anesthesia. I was very excited to have an unmedicated vaginal birth, and barely even considered the idea that I might end up with a C/S.  Anyway, it was a really traumatic experience for me and I am grieving over the loss of the birth I had dreamed of. I definitely want another child eventually, but I'm not really ready to think about my next birth, just looking to connect with women who've experienced a C/S as well. Looking forward to meeting you all!!

I had also planned a natural birth with my first and got a c/s instead. Although the details are different, I read your words and remember those feelings I had. I wasn't ready to think about another birth right away either, but I took the time to heal and now I'm a mom of 2. You'll get there. Congrats on your little boy, and on having the strength to share your story.
