Hi ladies,
This is my first post on the local board. I live in Baltimore city (Canton) and am expecting twins in late June. Our best friends are expecting a singleton in early July and we're considerig a nanny share for our LOs.
Do you have any recs for where to start a search? Is there a website? Where do you find recs? Are we searching too early? Are we right on time? We're the first of our group of friends to get pg so we are clueless...thanks!
Re: Nanny for 3 newborns....Where to start?
I second sittercity, I have had friends that use it and have had success. There is also a Downtown Baltimore Family Association, I think that's what its called. You may want to check that out.
I also agree that three infants would be a lot for one person, but people have triplets and survive, so if you can find someone who is willing to try, go for it.
Wow...Thanks ladies...I was thinking that 3 would be alot and mentioned it to DH but he didn't seem to think that it was a big deal (I know he's really set on a nanny.) I didn't realize that the regulated centers had the "no more than 2 under 2" policy per worker. Going with my gut feeling and am going back to square 1.....

Sorry, I read your original post wrong. I see now that you are the one having twins, and I saw your follow up post. Glad you are reconsidering. Definitely get on that listserv. It's a great resource for this area. It is for the Fells Point/Canton/Highlandtown area.
