DayCare in Center City

Hi!  We are expecting our first child in March of 09 and have just started thinking about daycare.  We should only need it 2 days a week but I don't even know where to begin.  We live in Center City and I started googling it online but it just seems overwhelming.  Any suggestions?  Also, any idea what the average daily expense for a good daycare is?

When we were shopping around in Jan 08, we found that the per day cost in center city was around $65-70.  You may have problems finding part time care for an infant because the daycares prefer to take full time babies and the rooms fill up very fast.   However, many of them are open to part time babies if they have a few that can be staggered throughout the week.  It is good that you are thinking about it now, when people say to look early, they are not kidding, esp. in the center city/ university city area where the waits are usually over 12 months!
