NTR: If you have a shark steam mop a ?.

Do you use it only to clean your hardwoods and tiles?  I just got one for Christmas and I love it but I'm not going to lie it kind of skeeves me out that it only uses water and no sort of cleaner?  Do you think I could put a little vinegar in the resevoir too?  Thanks.

I haven't used anything but water in it. I think the manual says not to. But, I guess a little vinegar couldn't hurt?! But, I don't know.

Don't do it!! One of the ladies that used to clean our house put some in my Bissell steam mop. It ruined it. I'm not sure how true this is, but DH said vinegar has a different boiling point than water so it won't work the same way.

I have a shark but I don't like the smell of vinegar so I wouldn't try it. I alternate between a normal mop with cleaning solution and my shark.
