Weight Watchers online

Hi all! I will probably be hanging out here a lot now. I am going to start working out and eating better when my husband and I get home from visiting my family. I was thinking about joining Weight Watchers online but wanted to see what others think about it. Any reviews?

  • Try sparkpeople.com instead. Virtually the same thing, only free! :) Not that WW is bad...

  • I've never used WW, but I love sparkpeople.com. It really made a big difference to see the actual calories I was consuming and made me think twice about portions and choices. I increased my exercise and counted calories on sparkpeople and was able to lose about 20lbs in 3 months before I got pregnant. I'm still tracking calories to keep myself in check!

  • I did WW before becoming pregnant and LOVED it!  I lost 25 lbs and kept it off for two years (until I got pregnant).  I used the online tools and attended meetings because I need the accountability.  It is a fabulous program and I plan on going back to meetings in May after my baby is born. :)

  • I love WW. Was on it for a while before getting married. They just revamped the program to allot more points due to reserch they conducted. I like being able to go to the meetings for accountability as well as using the online tools. GL

  • I agree with pp that WW is awesome, especially due to the ability to attend weekly meetings for support/accountability.  I truly think that is what had made the difference for me.  I did sparkpeople for a while but was not good about being consistent and WW meetings have helped me immensely.

  • I have talked to a lot of people that were successful losing weight.  The common factor in every case was eating a lot of vegetables, some fruit and carefully controlling portions of everything else.  I had a ton of success with WW 10 years ago, but now I am using thedailyplate.com (free) to track my calories and incorporating what I have learned about eating veggies.  I am on day 5 and haven't been hungry at all.  I have lost 1 lb so far.  I am annoyed at myself for not starting 2 months ago because it really hasn't been that hard.
