We usually have friends over for wine and hottub but not this year, DH and I both have a sinus infection and we'll be lucky if we can stay up long enough to watch New York ring in the new year on t.v.! (that's 9 p.m. our time) Boooooooring! Anyone doing anything fun?

Re: Happy New Year's Eve! What's everyone doing tonight?
DH, Fiona and I are heading over to Lisa's (Pirahna54) for a small get-together.
I'm sure I'll be getting tired by my normal bedtime 10:30ish, but I hope I can make it to midnight. We're bringing Fiona's pack n' play, so I hope she goes down without a fuss around her normal bedtime
Happy New Year!
My BFF is joining DH, Aaron and I for "Thanksgiving" dinner.
We got a frozen turkey around Thanksgiving and never used it so we invited my best friend to join us for dinner?and my in-laws will join us tomorrow for leftovers. I made stuffing (from scratch) and cranberry sauce (from cans) and a traditional Jewish noodle kugel. We MAY (or may not) make mashed potatoes too. I think we should, since Aaron LOVES them.
My bestie will head home early because she has a tradition of spending NYE with her parents and DH and I will probably fall asleep LONG before midnight.
Hope everyone else has a great evening.

We were invited over to some friends for dinner but Miss T has had a fever since last night. I told my DH is could go ahead a go if he wants. My older DDs want to see Tangled so now my DH may drop them off and visit his friends then pick them up. This is all good for me because T and I will get a couple of hours by ourselves. Hopefully she will be feeling a little better by then.
Hopefully, I can make it midnight but I am exhausted. Yes, I am boring.
Happy New Year!
With Betty Jane giving me a 5:30am wake-up call so she can be fed, I doubt I'll be staying up until midnight. However, DH and I do have a bottle of champagne, strawberries and dark chocolate to polish off tonight.
Happy 2011 all you fabulous Mommies!
With tonight's low expected to be -10, I ain't leaving the house!!!
We usually stay in and I plan to pop in a movie this evening. Eating leftover bean and ham soup.
If we can stay up until midnight, we'll watch the fireworks they shoot off the top of Pikes Peak (if you can actually see it!) It's a very cool sight!
Edit-oh crap. They just said on the news that the AdAMan club isn't doing the fireworks tonight.... wussies! FYI-for decades, these guys climb Pikes Peak carrying all the fireworks. Weather must be too crappy this year.
We originally had plans for an evening in with our best friends and their son, but L and I caught a viral something-or-other and have been sick all week, DH has now come down with a cold and our friends husband was admitted to the hospital a couple hours ago with Pancreatitis and gall stones.
I sure hope there is no truth to the old wives tale that says how you spend New Years is how you'll spend the next year!
