Dry scalp

My baby's scalp gets really dry and sometimes flaky (she actually scratches it), and I don't really want to put baby oil on it because then it'll be in her hair.  Can I use a gentle conditioner in her hair after I wash it?  Maybe Aveda?  Or does any company make baby conditioner?  I only ever see the shampoo.

Re: Dry scalp

  • What we do is put baby oil on and let it sit for 10 minutes before we give her her bath and then we wash her hair. It's made a huge difference.

  • Make sure you scrub it really good in the bath. This will really help.
  • I use baby oil then brush it in with a soft baby hairbrush. We also only was his hair every other day. It gets a little oily but he had really bad dry scalp for awhile.

  • I always scrub pretty well because I'm OCD, but then she scratches and gets flakes :oP

I'm going to try this, thanks!

  • For me a brush didn't work so well, but a comb did the trick, so give it a try if the brush doesn't work.  It was pretty gross how much came off, but she looks great now!
