Update to my changing table ?

Ok, so almost all the ladies said they would prefer or have gone the dresser route.  We have a dresser in the nursery, but it has a hutch on top.  Do you think this could still work as an option for changing?  I think it could but DH doesn't think it would be as easy to change LO with the hutch in the way.  My MIL is offering to buy us a separate changing table, but I don't want to end up with too much large furniture in that room since we also have a bookcase.  I don't know how to post PIP so here is a link to my facebook album with the nursery furniture.  Thanks!

Re: Update to my changing table ?

  • Love the furniture! You could use it as a changing table, you may want to take the shelf out that is above the changing area to have more room (for your hands to maneuver). I think it could work. I understand about not having a whole lot of furniture in the room, make it look cluttered. Just make sure changing pad can fit in that hutch space. I know mine hangs over the edge of the dresser just a little, but too much. HTH

  • My friend has a dresser with a hutch on top and it works fine for her son. I suppose if I had one we would have had to learn how to keep DD laying down while changing so she didn't whack her head. Somehow my friend's son is almost 1 and hasn't had any problems with it.
