Why can't he just let her be?

Why does DH insist on opening DD#1's door on my day off just because he has to work? Why can't her just let her play quietly in her room while I continue to enjoy an extra 30 minutes to an hour of sleep? I think he hates me.

who gets up with her normally?  On the weekends and days off, we take turns letting the other sleep in. Today is my morning.

We do the trade-off thing on weekends and holidays as well. Today, DH has to work, but I have the day off. This is why I wanted him to just let her play quietly in her room and leave for work. No, he opens her door and brings her into our room to jump on the bed...at 6:30am. Angry

What's your DD#2 doing at the time? Consistently sleeping every morning? In her own room?

Jason never plays quietly in his room anyway. He runs around like crazy and opens all the door including the ones with watch dog guards. The baby doesn't sleep much in the morning, either.

Is it too easy if I say - because he's a man?

I'm just impressed that she has to wait for you to open her door!  What's your secret for keeping her in her room?  A lock on the outside of the door?  S has already managed to reach door handles and pull them halfway down and I fear it's only a matter of days before he's opening doors...

I think the secret is that it's a girl. Jason was using door handles at S's age too, so we had latches installed on the handles. (A specialist in babyproofing came and installed all kinds of things). Then Jason figured out how to unlock the latches, and recently the same guy came and installed "watch dog guards" . Needless to say, Jason figured out how to unlock those, too. Having said that, I wouldn't put a lock on his door - he should be able to get out iff he needs to.
