And add me to the teacher list too!  Ughhhh!

Any name that has a "Yoonique" spelling just to make it "different".

Any of the top 20 US names.

Any characters from Twilight.

I want to avoid any names that are on the top 10/20 lists for the past few years. I also will never name a child Edward, sad for my father, because his name is Edward, but he understands because even he gets Twilight questions whenever someone asks his name! I enjoy Twilight - don't love it, but find it entertaining - but I don't want to subject my kid to that. Ironically our favorite boy name is Emmett - we didn't get it from Twilight and weren't thinking that when we decided we liked it. Luckily Emmett hasn't made it onto any of the top lists yet.

I also don't like the names Christopher or Rick because of people that I've known. And I don't like naming kids after places (Egypt, London, Phoenix, Etc...) I also don't like names that are just random words (or letters) thrown together. Ex: Abcde (Ab-see-dah). Yes, I really have heard that name.

I have a lot of thinking to do about names - but we do know it will be nothing too over the top or made up, and we'll stay away from the most popular names. DH's name is so popular that half of his friends in HS had the same one, and he always hated his name b/c it is so unoriginal.
