I tried to do this in a poll but it wasn't working.

Anyways..Emma Colleen H (2 syllables) or Delaney Colleen H (2 syllables)

We both like Emma but DH doesn't like how popular it is. We both like Delaney although DH loves Laney and I like it as a nickname but thats it. I think Emma sounds a little better but have always loved the name Delaney. Colleen is a must due to late mother. Thanks!

I agree, Emma is very cute, but also very popular. I like Delaney and have only heard it one other time. I also agree that Laney is best as a nm, but it is a very cute nm.

I love both names so I don't think you can go wrong either way. I also really like the nn Laney. Since Emma has become insanely popular and your DH isn't too happy about that I would go with Delaney.

Emma Colleen gets my vote. A very pretty name for a little girl. Delaney sounds like an Irish Pub.

I think of Delaney as a boy name because I knew a little boy with this as his middle name (it was his grandma's maiden name). But I then met a girl named Delaney and she was such a sweet natured person. So all of this to say, I now really like it for a girl and think you should go for it! Laney is a really cute nn, btw!

My niece's name is Alayna and goes by Laney often. I don't like Delaney at all. I think Emma Colleen is the prettier and better of the two choices you have there.
