did it take anyone longer to conceive number 2?

Just wondering.

I'm feeling blue. CD1 and cycle 4 of ttc has begun. My first 2 pregnancies (1st ended in m/c) did not take this long. It was 2 or 3 months both times. I know everyone is different, but I can't help but be scared that something could be wrong and wonder why it's taking longer this time around. I feel like everyone conceives #2 so quick. Not me.

DD took 2 years to conceive so let's hope #2 is MUCH faster!!

totally agree with PP.  you do have quite a while to have any concern.  I hope it happens soon for you.

For DC #1 it took us I think 6/7 mos or so. We started TTC #2 and got PG 1 or 2 cycles later but ended in m/c. It took another 4 or 5 cycles for DC#2. Try to be patient. Easier said than done I know..but you just never know ..it could be the next time. Good Luck!

We were very lucky with DD.  We literally decided to start trying on my fertile week.  We had sex 3 times that week and I got a BFP.  So needless to say, anything over a week would be taking longer than last time. 

But,  we've been trying way longer  than I'd like to be now :::points to siggy::: However, I also know (or at least tell myself) that most of the BFN's were 'cause I was BFing.  I stopped Bfing and then I got a BFP about 3 weeks ago, but it was a chemical pg.  So I'm hoping that with the hormones that were in my body from that, I'll be more fertile now and this will be our BFP month.  (we didn't have to wait a cycle 'cause it was a chem pg not technically a m/c)

So I feel you on the wondering if something could be wrong and it sucks.  Good luck to you.

It happened faster for us.  With DD it took about 4 months.  With this pg I got pg the first cycle of TTC. 4 cycles isn't that long.  I know this is easier said than done, but usually the more you relax the easier it tends to come.  With DD I was so anxious to get pg, but this time I was more laid back about it and didn't chart or anything.

Go take a looksy around the TTGP board. With DD, it happened without trying 2 months after being married. This time we were trying for over a year.

with P it took us one month and i wasn't even really keeping track of anything--we were having fun.  and now we stopped preventing in May but i just finished BFing and we are on cycle 3.....i am hoping now that P is weaned it will happen.  i know it isn't that long but it feels very long compared to our first~~we were lucky!!

In my case it is taking longer for #2.  DS was concieved on the first cycle trying, now we are on our 5th cycle for #2.  We became pregnant on our 3rd cycle but it ended as a c/p. 

Good luck and you are right, CD1 sucks....keep your head up.

One of my friends conceived their first on the first try and took 8 cycles for their second.  Although frustrating and disheartening, I think it's completely normal.  GL - I hope that this is the cycle for you!!

It can take up to a year for a normal, healthy couple to conceive.
