Trying to Get Pregnant

Last question about OPKs...promise.

I started using OPKs three times a day: Morning, 2pm and 5pm. Yesterday I had a positive and then two negatives. I re-tested this morning and got another positive.

Question: Is this normal (I'm thinking maybe I drink too much water in the day and diluted it yesterday?) Also, is there really any need to continue testing besides the fact that I like to pee on things that turn into smiley faces? It really hasn't lost it's novelty yet.

Re: Last question about OPKs...promise.

  • That's never happened to me, so I'm not sure. I'm usually content with the first positive I get. That's the one that really matters because you're supposed to ovulate within a couple days of the first positive. You might want to check out peeonastick.com. The OPK FAQs on that site were really helpful to me when I first started using OPKs. GL!

I was under the impression that you're not supposed to use FMU because you're more likely to get your surge later in the day. But since my FMU is probably the least diluted then because I drink about a gallon of fluids each day, I started testing in the morning too.
