What do you eat on New Years Day?

We are having my family over for New years for football and food. I am going to make a pork roast with sauerkraut, potatoes and carrots. Then am having the usual tailgate foods. 

My mom insisted on the dinner because it's good luck. I'm just so happy, we are all going to be in our jammies and comfy clothes.

New Years is always at my house....I usually do Italian but this year I'm doing mexican.  Taco/burrito bar, enchiladas (sp) frajitas, salsa & nachos with chips & cheese platter.

next year I think I will do chinese take out lol

I think we're having friends over this year, and I might make homemade pizzas.  Not entirely sure yet.  Last year, we had Indian tacos.  I usually use the day as an excuse for one last meal of junk food before the holidays are over.

I always make black eyed peas. It's traditional southern good luck food.

Black eyed peas for good luck and greens for prosperity....oh, and cornbread.  It's a southern tradition.  I'm actually making this plus minus a few ingredients.
