OMG I hope this is not true.  If it is true then what does she do with her money? On the show it looks like she doesn't have any money and that they can't afford anything.  If they do make that much money for being on that show, then the whole point of the show is gone. Isn't the point of this show to prove to other teens how hard it is? 

She drives me crazy and I feel so bad for her daughter.

Why is it a disgrace?  She makes millions upon millions for MTV and they pay her $250K, big deal, they should pay her more (though she would no doubt waste it)  That is nothing for being a pretty popular TV celeb.  

Just because she is an ignorant, slutty, garbage can of a person doesn't mean she should not get paid for the work she does.  Reality TV is work.  I doubt you would put up with having cameras follow you around for more than a week without getting paid.

I have a friend who is a tv producer for MTV and I don't recall her saying that they make that much.  It is my understanding that they have money in a trust for the babies and the moms make a small fee per episode.

I don't think MTV pays her all of that. She also gets paid for every magazine cover she is on, and every story she sells to the gossip mags.

I think the show is wrong on many levels. But I don't think it glamourizes having a baby. All the girls lives look like they suck even if they are making money off of it.
