My dad lives in Orange Park and we are going to be there visiting and I need some ideas of what to do with DS. My dad has 10 dogs (he is a little crazy) and I need some places to escape with DS . Is the Children's museum in Jacksonville appropriate for his age? I know some of them are geared towards older kids. Are there any inside mall playgrounds?
Re: Visting Jacksonville with a 15 month old
Hello!
All the mall's have the indoor playgrounds (including the OP mall). There ia hands on museum on Beach Blvd, but it's kinds boring in my opinion. We have the jacksonville zoo which is pretty cool, and there is also MOSH (museum of science and history) If you get really desperate the Cummer Museum has a children's museum with a lot of hands on displays. (nothing to break). There is this place in Orange park called O2B Kids that sounds really fun. Here is he web site.

Hope that helps a little! Have fun and enjoy Jax!
There is also a Little Gym on 17 just south of Orange Park in Fleming Island and there's a Tunnelz and Tumblez in Mandarin, plus Ollie Koala's (kind of like Chuck E Cheese, but that might be a bit too much for your son now).
B loves the zoo and MOSH. There's also a really great park/playground on Kingsley Avenue.
There are also plenty of parks in the area. You can check out all the local parks by going to

Have fun on your visit! The other ladies gave you some great tips as well
Let's try this again...
