prep if you only buy 2 diapers at a time. I hate to run 5 washes for 2 diapers each.

 

Also they are Monkey Snuggles, how many washes do they need?

I've only washed my monkey snuggles once before putting them on DS.

For any new diapers I usually just toss them in the diaper pail and wash them once before using them.  They may not be as absorbent the first few times but get better with each wash.

For MS fitteds I usually wash them a couple times with my DD's clothes and/or towels (which I use cd safe detergent for) because I'm not sure if there are natural oils that will coat the other synthetic diapers.. but maybe I'm just being paranoid.

I read that bamboo doesn't need as much prepping as hemp or cotton & I read Renee from monkey snuggles mention you can do on wash - which convinced me it was okay. Like PP said, it will gain more absorbency through regular washing. Hope that helps and enjoy your new diapers!
